San Bernardino County woman’s autopsy nightmare revealed

From the KNBC-TV Channel 4 Los Angeles website

The family of deceased San Bernardino County resident Shari Crane has filed a lawsuit in the Los Angeles County Superior Court against the owner of an autopsy company.

According to the family's attorney, Elysha Nettleton was concerned about the sudden death of her young mother (Sheri Crane), who was only 55-years old at the time of her death. Ms. Nettleton contracted with Shawn Parcells, owner of Topeka, Kansas-based National Autopsy Services, to have a licensed pathologist perform an autopsy on Ms. Crane to determine the exact cause of death. Instead of providing a proper autopsy report, the defendants provided a document entitled “Pathophysiological and Epidemiological Report” that was riddled with inaccuracies and purported to be signed-off by a physician-pathologist whose license to practice medicine in the State of California was revoked as a result of disciplinary action rendered by the Medical Board of California on May 17, 2012.
