86-year-old Female Develops Stage IV Pressure Ulcers Due to Nursing Home Neglect

F-86 was admitted to a nursing home facility. While at the nursing home facility, F-86 developed multiple decubitis (pressure) ulcers. Thereafter, F-86 was transferred to a hospital for treatment, wound stabilization, and healing. After the wound(s) healed, F-86 was transferred to another nursing home where she, again, developed Stage 4 decubitis ulceration. A lawsuit was brought against both Chicago-area nursing homes in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
